Charles McDonough is a seasoned healthcare executive with a distinguished career in post-acute care leadership, currently serving as President and CEO of Delaware Hospice. With a deep commitment to compassionate care and operational excellence, Charles leads a team dedicated to delivering high-quality hospice and palliative services across Delaware and surrounding regions.
Prior to joining Delaware Hospice, Charles held senior leadership roles at Mission Healthcare and Interim Healthcare of the Upstate, where he spearheaded strategic initiatives in home health and hospice operations. His expertise spans process optimization, lean management, and the integration of innovative care delivery models. Charles is recognized for his ability to drive growth, enhance clinical capacity, and foster collaborative cultures within complex healthcare systems.
Charles holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Lynchburg and a Master’s in Health Policy and Administration from Pennsylvania State University. He is a frequent speaker and educator on consumer-driven models of care and has contributed to national conversations on Medicare Advantage, healthcare technology, and workforce development.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Charles is a dedicated community volunteer and former youth basketball coach, reflecting his lifelong commitment to mentorship and service.
